What is that garden tool called that helps loosens the soil?

It has for big spikes on the bottom in a circle and a handle you grab with both hands. You punch the stakes into the ground and rotate to loosen the soil? Not sure if it’s considered a tiller or a cultivator or something else?

It’s called a Garden Claw. My dad got his for about $30 at Menards. home depot carries them too now. works great on patches of weeds and hard dirt. I just asked my dad and he said to wet the ground first and let it soak in a couple of hours if it’s really dry and then it will work great….

Think it called “The Claw” – found it by looking for “As seen on TV” and garden tool.

Buuuttt… also bought on. Doesn’t really work – the soil would already need to be soft for it to work well.

As previously stated by others, the Claw, is considered a hand cultivator. I hope you’ve got plenty of time to spare, the Claw, is time consuming, and is NOT for large scale gardening jobs. It is great for small jobs, such as loosening soil for plant placement, or minor weeding.
